This was more successful than the last blending attempts and I liked the results.
I worked in two methods.
1. by painting a full expanse of colour and then adding white into the middle and end to create a gradient.
2. By gradually adding white as I painted down the length of paper.
I found I could not blend the colours initially, the brush marks being obvious and almost leaving a solid line marking the colour changes. In the end I used my finger to blend in those lines and colour changes. Both methods were fairly successful.
