2. PROJECT: Looking at faces
Goals
Portraiture and self-portraiture is and has always played a significant role in our history. It can show something simple just in reproducing a face of a loved one or our own image, to major figures from our past such as Monarchs and other very important figures. This section is about learning the contours of the face, how suble changes can completely alter the character of a person, be my own face or someone elses. The ability to really ‘see’ is paramount in order to recreate just the right expression. Thats of course once Ive mastered the basics of making a face look like a realistic face at all!
